Of all 3 of my cars, the Evo got the best overall mileage. The Porsche got way better freeway mileage but way less city mileage

 

i get 140 miles to the tank on my evo X..... not ****ting you.

 

If you take closed loop mode off during cruising loads, you can tune your car to get a lot better gas mileage, esp. if you tune it on a dyno.

 

I think I need to get some new spark plugs. Whats good to run, what gap?

i run NGK gapped at about 21, dont remember the number off the top of my head

 

BKR7EIX's or even step colder to 8's. Been a while since I did plugs on an 8, but I believe those numbers may be iridiums, I think the non iridiums are BKR7EX's or something. Napa always has a stockpile of them.

 

yeah i need to get some spark plugs for my car as well. i am going to get the oem ngk's. i heard that they come pre gapped and that you should't have to mess with them. i used 3/4 of a tank so far and just above 230 miles to the tank. best i've seen so far hey for you guys that are tuned or not tuned..who is running a upgraded fuel pump. i am getting my car tuned next week and am wondering if i need it.

yea get at least a 255 pump.,. i was getting about 25-27mpg on pump gas and 20-23 on e85 in my 03

the plugs i run were 8's and only like 1.99 each at autozone

 

get a walbro 255, i use NGK Laser Iridium in my evo8, best set of plugs and only 50 bucks @ Carquest(the only one who carries them,...that ive found)

 

Ngk bpr7es is what you wanna run gap em @ 25. If you were to run meth or race fuel then go ngk bpr8es.

So this is day 4 after my prk lasik @ hoopes vision, a little easier to look at screen but eyes so sensitive to light and dry.
