Any and all opinions are welcome and understood by me to be just an opinion!! Very openminded and willing to hear others out!!

Sure go ahead and get one, but IMO it's not needed for what you have or even what you want to do. SUre it's the best way I guess, but with what you say you want to do with your car, I kind of see it pissing your money away. Plus you better know what you are doing to get it tuned right and no offense, I wouldn't let your buddies at 2NRZ tune it.
And if you don't want your car to run as rich as your, get rid of that VTA BOV. Just cause it makes a cool sound doesn't mean that it is good for the car.
Did you put your fuel pump in yet and not get a reflash? That will make it run rich.
How do you know it's running rich? Have you hooked up a Wideband to it?

I'm gonna send the ECU to DynoFlash and have them reflash it for exhaust and fuel pump mods!! (Pump not installed yet, I have it in my trunk though) When I send it in I'm going to ask to have them lean it out a little more!! Don't want to go back to stock after paying for the reflash!! Going to try this and if still unsatisfied going to seriously look at something i can tune myself!!
VTA bov makes inter-shifting points run rich...i.e. time between shifts. If you think you car is not running the A/F mix you want, its the flash. get an afc and tune...but do it with a wideband. unless your familiar with rpm vs load with regards to timing and fuel points, stay away from ems or learn it before you play around.
dude seriously, ems should be your last thing

I work on my own car at 2NRZ!! Those guys are cool when it comes to Hondas but i wouldn't let 'em work on my evo!! I would take it to Modern before i took it to 2NRZ!! just my .02 worth!!
I don't have the pump in yet and the BOV it a dual port set to about 80% recirc. and 20% VTA!! No I haven't hooked a wide-band up to it yet but at idle you can see see and smell that it is way rich!! I'm looking to go down and buy a wideband and gauge soon though!!
as for planed future mods I'm looking to build the motor as much as possible and still be streetable!! ex. cams, heads, intake, stoker kit, etc.

PLus Mike, you car is running Rich, because of the tune AL HAD to give you. Unfortunately at this altitude and this crappy gas you have to run a fairly high A/F so you don't see knock. So if you lean it out, you might mess up the car.
