Pretty standard stuff.

Oh yeah, and if you buy from Ken Garff downtown, talk to Eric Boisen (salesman). He's a stud and was awesome to work with. And I'd love to get credit for a referral, so drop my name

I bought one about a month ago from the Ken Graff in Sandy. I want to start adding some parts. How reliable is the evo after getting a reflashed ecu. I blew out my clutch and broke my turbo on my jetta after just added 8lbs of boost.

THIS JUST IN. I AM AN EXCEPTIONAL INTERNET RACER/DYNO.

I estimate that Scott will make 323 whp today.
Scott called me and made 320 whp with a spike up to 323.!

Now that you have found this website, and want to start adding parts to your car, you have officially screwed yourself. You will start with a turbo back exhaust and an airfilter. Soon you will need boost control.... then cams and a fuel pump.... a reflashed ECU.....new intercooler..... bigger turbo....

IT NEVER STOPS. Welcome, and good luck.

Why don't you do that jeremy. I'm not interested in it until you've exhausted all of your resources.

8lbs on a k03 (jetta turbo) is enough to far exceed shaft efficiency up here. Adding "just 8lbs" on the evo would put you at 26psi which would be detrimental to your stock turbo as well. 8lbs is a large increase.

How reliable is the Evo stock? No one knows cuz everyone has completly different problems at different times. But after the engine fried itself when it was stock and I went a few months, it's running just fine right now (with what I've got done to it) asside from the millions of different noises it makes and with just the reflash the car is much meaner.

Did you buy one that was there, or did you order it? If you bought it there, which did you buy? There's an EB for sale there right now.

The jetta just pissed me off. I added the bost controll took it form the stock 6 to an ok 14.5. The first test run blew out the clutch. Got it fixed then a few months later the turbo went out. Now it is in the shop again, but I guess I owe it one it convinced me to buy an evo.

I had a 1.8t jetta before I bought my evo and had just about every bolt on you could do and never had a bit of problem boosting over 15 psi. But I had to have more power, so I bought the EVO

But yet in your Jetta you just have the k03, not the k03 sport which was added later in 2002.

I had the KO3 when I blew my turbo out, but when i replaced it I put in the K03 Sport instead about 30 more HP.
