I'm glad you were able to work it out. I seriously felt bad about the last deal.

Scott, the disco potatoe is the garret gt2871rs which is a very popular vw upgrade. Larger and much more efficient than the k04 and about the same price.

No reason to feel bad. Too bad neither of us got the last one or we would both have swaybars now.

So, I got my fuel pump and exhaust done today. Boost control tomorrow and the ECU goes out as well. I have a question about the exhaust. Helix downpipe - do I need to worry about how close it is to the oil pan, i.e. should I get some insulative padding to protect the oil from the heat of the exhaust?

I just removed my downpipe and wrapped it with exhaust wrap. Seems to help keep the oil temps down (I was noticing high temps while autoxing). Did an autox on Sat. and the temps did get as bad as the last one.

I was thinking about a reflective, insulative padding type material that I could stick to the oil pan, but maybe exhaust wrap would work too. Is it something that is a problem on a day-to-day basis, or just when running the car really hard?

I paid $837.16 for brembo gas slotted rotors and UPS ground shipping!! I bought them from www.lancershop.com!! I am very happy w/ the performance and look of these rotors!!

ps> It is the same price for cross-drilled brembo rotors!!
