Dude, they are ugly. But every pound counts. My car is just beginning the major "lose weight" overhaul.

I got seriously slammed in the show and shine section. It is pretty brutal.

Lose weight overhaul?

Once you're interior is completely gutted including the dash, every shread of sound insulation, heating & a/c yanked and a full cage you can then move on and do something about the mirrors.

Until then ... PLEASE for the sake of baby jesus switch back to the stock mirrors!

or you could just take them off to save weight. Mine are super sweet invisible mode mirrors. Only I can see them.

I can't ditch the interior because I need it to "look" civil for passangers. Otherwise it would have been naked inside a year ago.

The sound deading material is on it's way out. I'm going to actually strip the interior and remove everything I don't need and then put back JUST the carpet and paneling.

I need the AC, and the heat it's still the daily driver. That also includes the radio. I would love to ditch all the factory speakers and stereo but that would be a little too hard-core. But I still might get rid of the stereo down the road...

The cage adds weight you boner.

I'm going to pull all the extra stuff out of the engine compartment, replace the bumper supports and door supports with Aluminum etc.

I would love to get rid of the power door locks and windows but that stuff is WAY to useful to get rid of. Seriously who rolls down windows by hand. But I've thought about ditching them.

2-part rotors and light weight coil-over are also on the list. And some blingin' light weight wheels. But that stuff cost money. Removing stuff is FREE!

Good idea. How about a bullet bike though? That's some serious weight savings.

Good point, but it is a bike, Atom only weighs like 1300 lbs and has 300 hp. Almost as fast around a track as the Enzo
