So I can't tell you what I think quite yet, but there's definitly no more ultra loud whining sound (but damn is the car still noisy or what, it's ALMOST as bad as the S2k with the top up)
Glad you got the car back! S2000 was especially loud when breaking in the new differential last year. Probably similar with the TC. Did you schedule the Accusump install with Chris?

Mike,

****** and race cars... tempting. But I'm going to the Driving Instructor Training at THE LOCAL TRACK! Then I can instruct you on how an EVO is where it's at. Then I can also say "Now just squeeze the brakes and turn in, MMmm-Kaaaay."

Captain Duct Tape is going to be a driver instructor? That's like a 3rd grade drop out being a College Professor...

No, none of the noises (except the ever popular throw out bearing) are coming from the drivetrain... I think part of it is the fact that I'm used to A) having the wind as background/coverup noise and B) not having a quiet exhaust Either that... or the fact that last I drove the car there was a loud WHIIRRRRIRIRIRIRIRIRIRIIIIIRRRRR sound over ~3000 rpm/25mph... mostly just the suspension creaking, a rumbly low pitch exhaust, fuel pump churning blah blah blah blah... it's like dead silent compared to your car though (I didn't even remember my brakes squeel untill Amy pointed it out today, and then I could hear it and remembered, but damn, your's win)

Oh yeah: No, Chris is on vacation, and it's Modern... I never got the tracking number either because Ashley is too stupid to get Chris to give her the password to his work email ther (or maybe they should just have a company email, yeah?)

Yeah, my car is damn loud with more bizare noises than any other car I've been in.

Jared as a track driving instructor is an interesting idea. I wonder if the duct tape, bailing wire and tampons will hold up to a lap or two on a track?

I'm not sure what the value of Modern is these days with Christian gone. Either they need to step things up there or it's time to find a new shop.

Lets open up our own shop, yeah?

And try riding in an old beatup 194k mile Buick that looks like a bear has rolled it over and gets its oil changed when it starts to sound funny... it wins (at least the amount and bizarity of noises) But your car is definitly close.

LOL ... is that Amy's car? I filled up my CA here today in San Fran. $53 bucks to fill it up!!! Gas is nearly four bucks a gallon here for premium. I wonder what the price will be for race gas in Pahrump.

Oh ... and as to our own shop? We have no mechanical skills.

5.15 still, probably... and yeah, that's Amy's car...

And we don't need mechanical skills, Ashley has less mechanical skills than we do, we can be Ashley and her dad. You can do all the business stuff, and I'll just sit around BUT on top of sitting around, I will make sure the company keeps running like a well oiled machine... instead of like a faulty transfer case...

Not sure there's any upside in that for me!

I'll laugh if the race gas is still only 5 to 6 bucks a gallon. I finally finished work ... it's off to home I go.

Here's my next Made In Taiwan project.

So far I have gotten a 2.5inch muffler and pre bent tubing (my old axle-back exhaust), a 3inch muffler and a couple 45 degree 3inch bends (my catback exhaust and my intake). All that was free, I bought a K&N panel filter, and a stubby antenna over there as well.

Now I'm going to see if they will build me the upper intercooler pipes. They are B.R. style. That will make me stage 53.2
