No you're right, I just wasn't going to wait around for a rumor. I hope they do come out with the software, it would be much easier to get tune updates with someone this close. The Access port sounds like an awesome tuning tool and I would probably jump on it once it come out.

I heard that they had a few other cars they were trying to crack first before the Evo and a few other things to do before cracking the Evo anyway, but that the Evo will be coming soon.

Mike, I think Al is going to be in Vegas this weekend after he goes to AZ, you might want to cruise down

Excellent point ... and in my experience the guys at lower elevations don't do a very good job of setting up maps for compensating for elevation changes.

The dyno setup at Cobb Tuning's new shop will be in a sealed room and will be able to change room pressure to simulate different elevations ... very cool.

If you are running a standalone moreso than a flash. Changing elevations on a flash didn't change my tune at all when traveling to different elevations

I believe one advantage the flash has is it still acts like the normal ecu in providing changes with atmospheric conditons and elevations. Standalone needs to be adjusted for these changes.

The AEM will adjust for elevation if it is setup properly.
