John, I'd buy Zach's if I was you, it's silver, but then you can look at it before you buy it and I bet its in pretty good shape.

Anyway, sometime I'd be glad to let you have a ride in mine, and take a ride in your's or whatever... compare uh... rashes... and what not... mine should be back in a few days to a week depending on how long it takes the special order parts to come in.

50r turbo with 290 cams and ripping out the interior... haha, actually, i'm getting my car fixed, it got broken into last Tuesday, didn't steal anything because I caught them and they ran off with nothing, but they damaged a lot and its all special order crap cuz the Evo is cool like that...

 

That sucks man, you and that car do not have good luck.

Beard of Zeus I just got done ripping out the entire interior of my car and stripping all the sound deadening material out. The carpet has some pretty thick felt, and even metal plates attached under the drivers foot area. All gone now.

But the craziest stuff is the material on the firewall. It's like lead, lined with a 1/2 inch of cotten. I was able to get all of it off on the drivers side, half of it off on the passenger side, and none in the center of the firewall.

I probably pulled out at least 20 lbs of stuff. Some day I may completely remove the dash, dash support etc and get the rest of the heavy stuff off the firewall. Next up will be my second try at the bumper beams... last time I decided the aluminium I had wasn't up to the job... I've got new ideas now though. Evo diets rule.

 

I am not sure 20 lbs is worth the extra noise in a car I drive everyday.

My car is so loud that the loss of the deadening probably wouldn't make any difference at all.

 

i'm just getting a huge wing so i don't need the stock one anymore
