According to Buschur Racing (http://www.buschurracing.com/weight-reduction.htm) a carbon fiber hood is HEAVIER than your stock hood. Stock hood weight is 20.2 lbs. and the carbon fiber hood is about 21.6 lbs + or - depending on brand and style.
Also, Carbon Fiber Trunk lid w/ out wing = 10.6 lbs. The stock trunk weighs 22.5 lbs.with no wing.

if i really want to loose that much weight i will rent a porta pottie and take a dump before i race.
