It is only $100 for the days the SCCA is doing at MMP, that is pretty cheap.

$30 for about 60 to 80 secs through cones x by about 4 to 6 runs. To be generious, let's call it a full 10 runs at 60 secs. That's 10 min of driving at best ... with a top speed of perhaps 40 to 50 mph.

$100 for 20 min of time on one of the finest tracks in the world (4.5 miles) with 4 sessions. That is 60 min of driving at what EVER speed you're capable ... including down a front straight that is 3,500 feet long!

Oh ... and BTW and the auto-x event for $30, you HAVE to volunteer which means working all day long.

Find a place to flip burgers for the same amount of time you have to work at an auto-x. Add that to the $30 entry fee for an auto-x and you have enough money for a full track day with the SCCA and probably enough leftover to buy yourself a pastrami burger, fries and a drink at the track!

Sorry Jeremy I figured it would likely be full but I wasn't sure, the October one is going to be the outside configuration, one that many haven't even run yet, so it will be very cool.

I like the pics of the white EVO! Very clean cut with the right amount of drop.

Contrast that with Jar-r0ds silver fartcan xtreme, or my hillbilly black CF mudflap wonder and you're right there in pimpville with such a nice ride.

(All in good jest Jerod (sp?). )

Cheers,
~j.

Well said! I have taken my evo to six track days at MMP. I always hated working in the hot sun picking up cones. I'll run every other month if I have to just for real track time. Auto cross takes great skill but there is nothing like taking down Vipers, Vetts or whatever in my Evolution. I was the only Evo at the last MPRA/ PDX event, and I'll be there on September 9th as well. Hope to see any and all out there.
