hello everyone! i've been trying to get the trany off my car now for the last few months and it's not working. my stubborn *** has broke down and decided it's time to just pay someone to do it or at least give me a hand. i've read alot of good posts about the tob and it's just not disengaging for me. anyway i'm in the ogden area and hoping someone could come to my place to help with it since i really don't wanna have it towed anywhere. it's not totally out of the question but it is pretty much apart so it'd just make it easier. i'm thinkin for someone who has done it before it shouldn't take more than an hour to finish getting it out, probably less. pm me if your interested. thanks

 

Ya Wes that is exactly what I would and prob. will do in the future on my car. My buddy has a AMS 2.3 with the 30R and the thing is FREAKING INSANE. He did just get a 35R now and WOW is all I can say. I personally think the 30R is fine. Get well in to the mid 500'S with that turbo.

 

It took a little work, but with a long (2-2.5 ft) pry bar it popped off just fine with a combination of prying and rotating the bar. After thats off, its just a matter of having enough muscle to manuver the transmission around everything that is still in the engine compartment. Best of luck to ya!! I know those 3 weeks it took me to finish mine and then have to tear it apart again cuz they gave me a bad TOB were a nightmare...I cant imagine going a few months!

Damn dude, I didn't drink or really touch alcohol at all until I was 21... And I NEVER realized how much underage drinking is going on. And I"m not talking 18-20 year olds either. Like that pic of jailbait where they're holding the cheap *** bottle of vodka on tthe hood of that car? Jesus, that REALLY happens!

 

Granted I grew up in farm country, but we started when we were 12-13. Then again all we had to do was drink and have sex

 

I was at a lot of parties where everyone was getting wasted this weekend, I don't drink tho so I was the DD.
