You can do it with the manifold on the car.

the mani is cake to take off and I'd rather not get any shavings plus you could do like I did while its off and shave down the nubs and could do some porting & ceramic coating Jason said he could do that kinda stuff awhile back I believe

I'm going to re coat my manifold flat black when I get the motor out this weekend

Easy, Jake, i've read this story like 5 times on this thread alone now.

Don't forget to mention that he stayed at the track one night until like 3am to get your dad's car ready for the next day's race when Utah Imports screwed it up. And then helped him first thing next morning at his shop.

I'm always going to rally in defence of Vesko, since we're good friends, so I might be a little biased, but here is my response to your story:

If a kid with an evo called me up and wanted some wheel studs, of course i would help him. When that service interfered with customers' cars that spend 20k a month or more with me, i would blow him off. All customers are not created equal, unfortunately. Obviously he was trying to help you out, but he picked a bad time to do so. Not your fault, but probably about time to stop telling this story.

Nothing against you Jake.

I as well will rally in defense of Vesko and yourself fick because of being friends with you both.

umm or maybe back on car topic..I need a gas tank bro and vesko said he threw a couple of them away few weeks back...my luck huh but he said he might still have one in storage. I could get one from my friend who works at mitsu for $475...ouch

I'm not going to write a million page response, because its not going to matter, so I'll just write this:

You've read it 5 times because new people keep asking where to go and people keep mentioning him, I don't repeat it over and over again for kicks just randomly. And I do always say that if you have the money and he has the time he can do wonderful things, I know he's an amazing driver and I know he knows tons about track set-ups for just about every car...

I already broke it down and passed it off as him just being awful towards me because of my age, and when I break it down to that, I'm fine with it... It happens all the time, it sucks, but that's what I get with for being in a more mature world as such a young kid. I have all the intentions of giving him a second chance the next time I do any track based mods to a car, because regardless of customer service, he knows his ****.

I have nothing against you, Wes, or Vesko. Just the way I was treated that day.
