Anyone need/want a 60 mm triple on dash gauge pod? It's all carbon fiber, mounts just above the vent on the center dash. I just sold a CF center console and totally forgot to ask if anyone local wanted it so this one I'll make sure to give the local boys a chance first.

you've only got the one left that goes above the clock ?

That's what it looks like installed I think. It was a bonus piece that the guy I bought the car from gave me with the car. I don't need it. I don't know where it's from. The holes are 60mm and it's real Carbon Fiber. It's a pretty nice piece.
I was going to ask $150 shipped if I just sold it in the for sale section but since you local and I don't have to ship, we can do less. Let me know.

The center console piece I had that i sold was the one that goes around the shift boot. It was just cf-like (i think that's the official term for piece of plastic with a sticker on it that looks like carbon fiber). It wasn't the one you are showing in the pics. I remember reading some thread about that one though saying you could get fake cf of those on ebay for like $40 shipped. Might want to check it out.
FS: Carbon Fiber Spoiler Rexpeed TYPE C
I have a couple of things left off my IX thought I keep forgetting to try local first

Anyone got a road racing helmet I can borrow for Saturday? It needs to be SA 2000 or better. No M rated helmets unfortunately (or I'd have one already). I'm going to buy an SA 2005 helemt soon but I'm still deciding if I want to go Open or Closed face. Anyway, just need to borrow one for this weekend. Thanks!!
Remember that your car is insanely fast, but also very heavy, even compared to a factory C4 you're 300-400 lbs heavier. Try to get someone that has either been driving for a really long time, or who drives a C4 to instruct you. My car now drives very similar to the Evo, minus the oversteer. Which, to be fast in the Evo you should pretend like you're concerned about oversteer, otherwise you'll be taking messed up lines.
Also, the key with the Evo is to mess around with braking points a lot (IME with good pads and R comps the car could out brake a stock C6 Z06 with ease) and remember that you're in one of the world's most forgiving track cars, don't be afraid to hit the gas a little earlier. As long as you're not doing sudden autox like movements, you can hardly screw up in the Evo. If you're going too fast you GENTLY and SMOOTHLY hit the brakes. All you have to do is remember to keep everything smooth (and yeah, we're talking about cars here
). Also, one thing with the Evo to not start out immediatly doing, but get used to is the fact that you can hit the gas a lot sooner coming out of the corner A) because you have turbo lag and B) because you have godly awd.

Basically this means the EVO likes a significant amount of "yaw" in a corner in order to get the tires to produce maximum grip. For some it feels like insane oversteer starting to occur, for others it begins to feel like a balanced AWD slide.
"Going Faster" is a great book that explains "yaw" and "slip" angle much better than I can, and the book will give you a very good overview of what you want to look for in the EVO.

I have a 72 Vega with a bored out 327 that ran low 12's back in the 80's. 12.5:1 FTMFW!!! It's my dad's, but, one day, I'll convince him to let me buy it. It's fully tubed, tubbed, narrowed, and loud as hell!
