Oh yeah, and where might I look at these, any suggestions?
Lancershop is your friend

HPS's are more mellow pads

HP Plus's are more aggressive but still a street pad. They have my vote.

I've got the DS2500s. They're good pads, but now my brakes squeak a little, especially when backing up (I didn't install some of the shims that were stuck on the old Brembos). I got them from vividracing.com; they came in a beat-up little box with no instructions, but luckily I have the tech section from this site. The pads looked ok, despite the box's condition, though, and they got here fast.

The real question is: Why are you not changing the oil yourself you big weiner.

We are working on Jake...Last week he learned how to take the valve stem covers off....maybe next week we will show him how to put air in his tires. We don't want him moving too fast

Maybe you should construct a little leash for the valve stem covers so they don't get lost (kind of like the ones for gloves).

Jake, are they picking on you?

I changed the flat tire on the trailer today. In the shop tomorrow morning at 7 AM for fresh tranny and diff fluid. I'll pick you up at the airport with the trailer in tow ... then OFF to buttonwillow. ... and our first attempt ever at changing brake pads on the S2000.

Yep, I changed it myself!

Do you think we should change the pads are just run with the street ones? I think the pads on it are Axxis metals. Did you run street or race pads when you and dennis went to BW?

we just used the stock pads. didn't even phase them. keep in mind when you are out there for a long period of time, be sure to do a full cool down with little to no braking. the rotors need to cool down otherwise when the car just sits there the area where the brakes pad are stay hot while the rest of the rotors cool which in turn warps the brakes. i know from experience. also do not use the ebrake. it'll do the same thing to the rears. just use a wedge of some sort and place it under the tire so the car won't roll.

Yeah, Ray, we heard about your experience and already followed orders at SM...um anywhere else sell the Hawks, they're out of the HPSes....how much wear do the HP pluses do even, they make it sound like a lot...but, well, I just don't want eaten rotors...and I COULD change the oil, I know how to do it, give me a lift and all the tools, I'm not getting on my back and rolling under my car to do it...put it up 6.5 feet and I'll be just fine...plus I like talking to the mitsubishi people...anyway, the important issue is my rear brakes, has anyone been run over by an Evo? it hurts like a mother, and mothers hurt....stupid hill and not putting my ebrake on all the way enough with the rear pads almost toast and saving my car's life....but yeah, the pads, hey wait, Ray...did you give us rear pads with the extra pads you gave us with the suspension? I could just use those for a little bit...and yes, I can handle changing pads, it just takes more effort than it does on old school rotor hondas and the like where you turn a bolt, turn a thing, pull a thing, put a thing, turn a thing, and turn a bolt...I did learn SOMETHING in auto mechanics, and that was about it, oil changes and brake pads, I think I could flush brake fluid too...maybe
