oh yeah. i totally forgot about that. i was haten life that day. but i don't think i was hung over, i think i was still drunk.

drillings all done. the one side took me about 20 mins. of drilling. the other side took 2 mins. my friend stopped by and help put pressure on the drill. what a f'n difference.

trunks all gutted. another 45 lbs or so. water bottle and spare were heavier than i thought they would be. so far total weight deducted... 145. i'm very happy with that! i think another 50-75 or so when i do the doors, suspension, and wheels. i'm hoping for a 200 lb. weight loss. that's like dennis not riding in the car.

two options. replace power windows with rs manual windows and gut whatever braces are in them.

just gut the rear doors completely and not have the windows operatable.

I think you should just take the doors off, and the other side skirt

Ray, turns out my springs are a little stiffer than I thought: (Front: 9kgf/mm, 503 lbs/in; Rear: 8kgf/mm, 407 lbs/in)

Take out the rear glass and throw in some lexan!!!

well that's better than what you had told me. also 8k is more like 448lbs.

btw, i was thinking about what you had told me about your car oversteering during deceleration. for $hits and giggles, try increasing (stiifen) the front shock settings to the max adjustment. and leave the rear alone. by going so drastic you should notice some type of change. hopefully the answer to your problem. obviously it is probably too much adjustment to do but this way it'll be easier to tell if this helps. if it does, just start dialing the fronts back down until you are happy with how the car feels. also remember were they are set b4 you start. this will give you a base line. let me know if this helps. of course this may all change once your aligment is done.

JL 12w3v2...A place on State Street and like 3400S called Car Concepts, if you go there, ask for a guy named Cory and tell him Jake sent you...and be prepared to have him worship your car, they're his dream car...anyway, the guy that actually did it isn't there anymore, but there's a few other techs there that are really good

Or the trick to get rid of oversteer on deceleration is DON"T DECELERATE

I really don't notice it to much if I am on the brakes(anymore then normal) but off throttle i notice the oversteer. I have found the best way to drive it around a corner is to power throught the corner and counter steer out of it slightly. This isn't for the first timer so isn't safe to try on public roads.

Rob where did you get the springs cause your spring rates are different then mine. Mine are Front and back 10 Kgf/mm / 559 lbs/in

well off topic but if anyone cares my turbo kicked the bucket the other day because my bearing went bad i have a little to much shaft play!! moral of the story don't consistantly run your stocker @ 22 to 23psi the shaft speed probably gets a little to great & ****s it up quickly!! it doesn't help that i always race my car either probably.. lol

vt snake maybe me & rob can trade you some alignment action for some cam action?? the only problem is my father hates when i use the shop for friends so it would have to be somewhere else if we did.

sounds good to me. i rather use my shop cause i really don't want to drive the car. weekends are the best for me. just let me know when is best for you. i'm in no hurry . just need it done b4 al gets here. only thing you'll need to bring is that skinny long tool for the tensioner... http://www.evomoto.com/image.php?timage=cams26.jpg. do you have one?

oh, and a good torque wrench. ours suck for light torque specs.

and onemore thing, keep in mind i am the most **** perfectionist there is. i don't trust anyone and that's why i try to do everything myself. i like to double, triple check everything and it takes me three times as long as it should to do something. if that doesn't bother you... i'm in!
