Looks really good. I really like the rack on it

I wonder if it handles better. My concern with doing springs is that the cars exceptional handling will be thrown off in some way.

well the only way the "exceptional handling" could be thrown off is if the spring manu. builds the incorrect spring rates. typically they like to increase rates to flatten the car out which should make the car handle better. also some will play with front and rear rate combos to increase oversteer cause the evo is an understeering pig from the factory. they do this for saftey reasons. most drivers can get out from an understeer situation vs an oversteer situation. of course tho, most people buy "lowering" springs for looks but if you buy the right ones, you'll increase handling perf. too.

Yeah, and trust me, my car handles a million times better with Ray's old JICs than it did stock...that, and there's like 0 body roll, so I feel a lot safer in fast corners...didn't you drive your's after you took them off and notice a big difference too Ray?

These springs are seriously great. The drop is about 1.5 in the front and 1 in the rear.

The front rate is 5 lbs softer than stock to help the front wheels get a bit more traction on turn in. I've read some race set-up threads and most people wanted a slightly softer front end. The rears are 5 lbs stiffer than stock to decrease understeer and body roll. I've got a progress group 25mm rear swaybar to install and that should flatten it up nicely.

I think for the money this is an awesome way to increase the performance. If you research the Hotchkis springs, no one has said a bad word about them.

that's funny you ask cause just after i switched them out i was driving the car home getting on the freeway and missed the wall by about an inch. the car completely lost it's "stick". but then again it was a lot easier to drift.

i can't wait till my new JIC's get here. if you think your car is stiff wait until you ride in mine.
