Hey guys, I'm thinking I should change my tranny & t-case fluid sometime in the near future. Does anyone have a shop that does that, or that could help out for a case of beer or two? Or, if not, how much does it cost to have a shop do it (I don't have a lift myself and am sketchy about not knowing if I have the correct fluid level.

Hey fellas, I'm new to the forums but I will be aquiring an Evo at the end of the summer. Do you guys have a particular club or any gatherings that you do? I'm in S. Ogden right now currently moving to Syracuse or Clinton. If you guys really want a good race, DSM-to-Evo, you should get hold of this dude that works at RMR, he goes by "SpoolUp". He has a 95' GST that is F A S T ! He could give alot of people a run for their money.

You should stop being a pansy waist and change it yourself. It takes less time than changing your oil. You don't need a lift, just a floor jack, a #3 phillips (to remove those stupid damn undertray screw rivet type fasteners), and a 17mm wrench/socket and ratchet. I do mine every four oil changes, and it literally only takes about 15min. to do.

Nice pic!

Sorry about the wing ... I think you can pick one up at the dealer for around $500.
Black is still the fastest color.

Alright fine! How much fluid does it take and what types are good?

Oh, and uh...nice wheels. The car is looking good.

Edit - you say "pansy waist?" I always said "panty waste."

Gm synchro-something, penzoil synchromesh, and BG-synchro-shift are the only three i'd use. Stay away from redline. You can buy penzoil synchromesh at autozone, and it's the cheapest. The GM oil you can get at your local GM dealer. Don't buy the oil from the mitsu. dealer. They are all a bunch of jackasses, and can't read their manual right. They put the same oil in the tranny diff, and rear diff. despite their service manual telling them not to.

Oh, you'll need three quarts to do both. Go look in the "how to" section you'll find four or five different write ups.

So you're saying he wants three quarts of two different ones of those? Which is the best for the tranny and which is best for the rear?
