jake, racing is when you are competing against others...

all you're doing is driving sorta fast around a track...

 

so the time trials at the tour de france don't count...;-)

 

Everyone want to hear our hassles? They all relate to my brake pad dilemma, so you get to hear them, and hear why I'm trying to find a good pair of pads for the Evo...how much are OEM rotors for the Evo? Anyway hassles: the pads that are on the S2k went mushy MSM's second lap, changed pads to race pads, raced a bit more (car is scary as hell to drive), and the rotors got bad cracked....then we got to replace the rotors with some OEM rotors some other guy had....whew, anyway, reason number 1 and number 2 why the pads I want for the Evo have to be freakin perfect, track AND street, lol, anyway...anyone got an answer on how mean the Hawk HP pluses are on the rotors? And the price of OEM Evo owners so I can get some extras...just in case

 

According to Mitsubishi spirited driving in a parking lot is racing.

Awesome day ... the Buttonwillow track is insanely fun! As Evo boy mentioned, the stock pads completely went to sh*t after the first time braking at the end of the straight. Cobalt race pads are awesome ... I think I may take it a little easier on the rotors tomorrow ... I was having SOOOO much fun with the threshold braking that both the front rotors c R a C K e D. Two on the passenger side and one BIG *** one on the drivers side.

Racerfactory is a great group of people. They helped us two mechanical idjets change the rotors. Damn easy ... we won't have a problem doing it ourselves next time.

So how many of you are going to Spring Mountain 19-20 March?

We have verified that we can get anyone who comes in March who hasn't been with Racerfactory racing before, can get a 10% discount too, and I think that applies to you too Ray...anyway...my pads...

 

lol! i remember when i tried to get you to do some open tarck days and you said no way and that it seemed too dangerous. but now you seem to spend every other weekend trying out a different track.

hey rob, i just turned on my phone. battery was dead. i just got your message about tomorrow. what is the earliest i can call you tomorrow? i'm going to bed right now but not sure what time i'll get up. but if it's early i'll call you if that's ok. i rather do your car b4 we do mine but only if i get up early. i'll check here when i get up and call you if you say it's ok.

anyway just wanna give a big thanks to zach! THANKS! you da man! it's not very often i trust anyone with my car but zach can work on my car anytime. he did things the way i like them done. he took his time and made sure everything was right. no short cuts for him! zach, i owe you big time!
