Something in the JIC price range is perfect for you then. I'm not sure what there is, as last time I was looking I was looking at the clubsport range, but going that advanced is something I'd stay away from for just a road/slight autox car, unless you wanted to spend the money.

6 speed won't matter, its usually only 20-30 min sessions, I doubt its long enough for the tranny to get that hot. You have to do a track event in it at least once anyway

CF roof ftmfw too! I wanted one of those so bad... 11 lbs off your roof (or 7 in your case) is freaking amazing.

What do you have so far anyway Jason?

I'd say roll with some cusco, kw, dms or maybe some buddy clubs..the bc coilovers are the hotness on the evo x's. Don't forget to get a rear sway bar n endlinks. **** I'd still like to get some more suspension stuff myself

Don't forget to mention that he stayed at the track one night until like 3am to get your dad's car ready for the next day's race when Utah Imports screwed it up. And then helped him first thing next morning at his shop.

I'm always going to rally in defence of Vesko, since we're good friends, so I might be a little biased, but here is my response to your story:

If a kid with an evo called me up and wanted some wheel studs, of course i would help him. When that service interfered with customers' cars that spend 20k a month or more with me, i would blow him off. All customers are not created equal, unfortunately. Obviously he was trying to help you out, but he picked a bad time to do so. Not your fault, but probably about time to stop telling this story.

Nothing against you Jake.
LOL ... it was actually you that did the work on the car while Vesko was working on another one.

I did appreciate that. I'd spent $23k (not including parts I paid for) with Utah Imports and they completely Fxxked up. And they didn't seem to give a rats a$$ about it.

Vesko's a good guy. He doesn't seem to have available time. I tried multiple times to get him to work on my car. When I can't get a return phone call or a time in the calendar that's not a good sign. Would I recommend him to some kid here looking to get some work done? Considering I spent on average in the $25K to $35K per year on the car ... and couldn't get phone calls returned or time on Vesko's calendar ... No, I would not.

yea I've heard some decent things about buddy clubs so your all good. I of course will recommend the cusco zero-2e or the zero-2r because I've got cusco stuff & love them. If your not going to track your car then you cant have any fun breaking it gotta love millions of drag strip 6,000-6,5000 launches too I'm going to throw a clutch in my car too so I can do it all over again

This one: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...B4TeigKZm7COAw

You don't NEED a rear sway bar and end links, especially if you get your suspension decently set-up and just plan on street with a little autox. Even my JICs were stable as hell (meaning no over or under steer), don't forget that the Evo is already a god of handling Wes.

The 4lb difference from the MR to the GSR is like dropping the car 1.5" (because it lowers the center of gravity that much) Imagine the difference shaving another 7lbs off the roof (dropping it what... like another 3ish inches). Taking weight you can spare off the top and the front and the back of the car is the first thing that should be done, I always think its funny to see guys with full trunks and they have their backseat all removed.

You could just wait until Warrtalon finishes working with Buschur and gets the tranny cooler set-up for the 6 speed, that thing should work like a charm.

Edit: Oh wait, Wes needs the endlinks and the swaybar because he has no spoiler to keep his car stable
