Utah Evos
I got a topic for you (the reason I haven't posted in so long) anyone else go to JGTC in Cali? Originally I was going to SF to race my dad's s2000 with him at Laguna Seca, but problems ocurred with the car, so I told him about the JGTC and we flew down there for it. Talk about Evo central, there was every kind and color of Evo there with a crap load of different mods. The racing and drifting was cool, of course, but asside from the NSX's (which took up about half of the "car club" parking with probably at least 50 NSXs) and the mass of misc. Subarus, Evos were there in force. It was also the first time that I've ever personally been able to see a Skyline, of which there were at least 6 in the vendor area. Anyway, yeah, it was pretty dang cool.
Oh and Ray, dunno if you got a chance to hear the injen exhaust yet, but at idle and slow driving it's way quiet (maybe quieter than stock with a different pitch...) and even when the injen guy revved it up to around 6000 for me, it still wasn't all that loud. Just in case you're still worried it'll be loud.

UT_Evo convinced me to go to the JGTC event at California Speedway. JGTC is the Japan Grand Touring Championship and this was the first ever JGTC event in the US. Hopefully, there will be more. There are two car classes:
GT300 -- limited to 300 hp
GT500 -- limited to 500 hp
Both classes run at the same time, so there is a lot of passing. If you'd like to see pics, check out:

I N C R E D I B L E event!
The drifting events were interestinng to watch. The Japanese drifters were excellent, while the American drivers were pretty lame-o. The announcer played it up like it was a close competition, but it was embarrassingly one sided.
I guess I should post the pics of UT_Evo with the Evo babes!

I laughed my *** off at the part in the video were they make fun of the turning radius of the Evo.
The Evo drifting all over the track behind the Lambo is awesome though.I've seen quite a few Evo MRs in California ... just about every color. Mostly parked though. The dark gray is my favorite.
