Its possible the turbo could be mounted on backwards or upside down. I know turbos make boost but negative boost might mean its pulling air out of the engine, which if my calculations are correct, would hurt performance.

Seriously though, a boost gauge should normally show vacuum while at idle. You're fine.

It's so you can go fast in reverse, silly!

Ahh, now I understand. That explains the scene in 2 fast 2 furious when he's on the freeway doing 80 in reverse. I knew in my heart those movies were legit, despite what my brain and common sense told me

Well you know, it was a documentary! Upside-down turbo and 700 lbs of negative boost means 80+ in reverse, due to the negative polarity of the thermal floculator bushings receiving extra vacuum, it changes the gear ratio as you accelerate=the never ending reverse gear!

hey thanks that makes sense it is a vacuum and boost gauge so it should be vacuuming at idle.

I saw your evo down at your shop today when I was over at Joe's. I'd keep it too, it looked way good. Especially that JDM bumper!

I saw a red evo x from the 15 freeway at Mike Riddle Mitsubishi on my way home last night. I could see the intercooler and what Mitsu calls fender flares (weak compared to 9 and earlier flares). I heard Cobb bought a X. Anyone else on here.
