I envy you guys over in Cali.
First the weather and then the roads!

Was there on vacation this October and made 2700 miles in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, it was in Dodge Neon automatic (rental).
Parts I liked best was RT-120 from Benton to Yosemite and then RT-140 down to RT-49 and then back up to RT-120=>RT-10.

49 was absolutely the best, saw maybe 2 cars on the whole stretch. Too bad Neon was POS.

One day I'll ship my Evo over
Enjoy!

Hey Brian,

I used to test my mods on Santa Susana in the late '70s, good but too short. Angeles Crest is fun especialy racing the bikes. But I have to agree Highway 1 to Monterey is the best. Northbound on a weekday, 3-4 hours of hard driving, last time I did it in my RX my arms were shaking when we got to big Sur

See ya at Cal Speedway the 14th?

Rick

the only fun part of decker is the last few downhill turns other than that decker is boring for the most part and its always has traffic so you cant take up both lanes like i do on piuma

My favorite is HWY33 North of Ojai.

drummerjun: Touge is a Japanese word for this type of road.

drummerjun & kaishu99,

I love Turnbull too!!!! I must have been there 10-20 times, its close to my work ao i sometimes go during lunch!!!

Definitely make you queasy. There was one time during summer I went with A/C off (to get more hp) after lunch. I didnt get enough fresh air and I got motion sickness (i was driving!)

Give me a heads up if you guys wanna meet there or somthing...

Any one drives a Blue evo? I saw one on the opposite lane one time.

I also meet a wrx there once. He stayed close to my tail 1/2 way thru turnbull. I gave him a big thumbs up out the window and we parked the car aside and chatted a while. nice friendly guy.

Speaking of tires...

I lost most of my tire tread and brake pads at Turnbull... 8500 miles with 2 rotations... outer rim almost down to the wear indicator

I'll be there, hopefully with some new alignment specs to test out (might even be buying some alignment tools so I can run toe-out at the race and set it back afterwards. I'm in 13th, about 200 points away from the guy in 12th, so there's nothing to lose in testing stuff for this race.

Sounds like you need a camber adjustment (more of it) or to go a little lighter on the drifting.
