It can happen. I have pics of as many as 16 Lancers and Evolutions lined up to cruise together! I sent you a PM, let me know if you ever want to chill or cruise with us.

Here's a pic of 13 of us after we cruised half way up Piuma.

It all comes down to being a good driver and knowing your car's limits with that driving condition. Likewise in the dry.

Now you tell me, I just got back from cruising around with TO_Lancer. Actually, when I autocross in cold weather, I tend to use a little less tire pressure, and the grip is fairly close. But I don't have many canyon scares anymore, as I drive conservatively when there's a cliff/house/etc. right next to me.

The canyon road i like is in vegas, but its not really a canyon road, just a road as twisty as one, its the 12 mile red rock loop in Vegas, very fun because its all one way...

Man, this brings back memories. Back in the '80's when I was young and stupid, my friends and I would race on Mullholland and Turnbull all the time. Had a lot of fun till my buddy totaled a Trans Am he owned for a whole 10 hours. DOH! Hit some other canyons as well, but we practically lived on Turnbull. That place was great for making passengers squirm.

Kinda got bored with the whole canyon thing, and after my buddies wreck he wasn't into it at all anymore. Since my younger days, I've only made it up to the canyons a few times to show friends what their 'new cars' could do. I'd tell 'em stories and they'd say "yeah, right". So I'd take 'em up and whip their cars into submission and enjoy the pale looks on their faces when it was finally over.

Got into off-roading after a while and found my canyon running expierience made going through the desert @70 dodging bushes and yucca trees a hell of a lot of fun.

I guess once I get this Lancer going I'll have to see what she can do. Looks like I'm gonna need to do some suspension work now. Damn, thought I was gonna get around that.

You'll love the Azenis, and if you want something a little more "scury" nearby, take Box Canyon south when you hit the top of Santa Susanna. Just be careful, because there are quite a few residents on that trip.

2 favorites, dont know names just locations. Very little traffic for the 1st recomendation.

N. of LA on the 5, exit lake hughes, head east past castaic lake. 45 minutes each way of pure joy after the mile long straight!

2nd, take 76 hwy east of the 15 (S. of temecula). 1 hr of EVO excitement. Dont bother going past amago kart track. Watch for motorcycles & cattle!!

road locations/directions are better than just names for those that want to enjoy & are ignorant, as myself!

We would call that Lake Hughes, making a right at the end of it takes you to Palmdale. Next time you're on it, if you feel like an adventure, when you get to the end of it, make a right on Lake elizabeth, a right on San Francisquito, then a left on Spunky Canyon. About 2 miles down Spunky Canyon there is a dirt road that goes 3 miles up to a section of the course for the Rim of the World Rally.

BTW, the canyons named above ARE the street names
