downpipe or throttlebody?

if someone has the works catback exhaust system and you can only buy one of these items with no future modifications in mind, which of the two would you guys add to your evos? which will make more hp and/or torque? why?

Go with the Aperture, thats what we did, and you'll have better overall performance (based on your guidelines) then just adding to the exhaust and nothing on the intake side.

Please provide before/after dyno data following in installation of the "Aperture" that demonstrates the stock TB to be restrictive.

I would also recommend the WORKS Aperture. Especially if you currently have our Brain Flash which can optimize the benefit of a throttlebody opening that now equals the intake manifold opening.

Hey Jamie,

I got my P2 when I just had a cat-back exhaust. I have since added DP, Throttle body, and high flow cat. Do I need to worry about being re-flashed?

Garrick,
We can get your upgrade flash for the Aperture when you come in for the HFC. Should I let Tyler know you'll be getting the 269 flash as well?

I have to back Jamie up on this one. I installed my throttle body the day befor my DP and it was a more noticable increase. If you do the DP, get the ceramic coated. The pipe is awsome and no heat transfer!

Get the DP. You can get the TB when you have turbo.

I haven't had much luck getting tangible comparative data out of the folks at Works. If they would simply do this, I'd probably be buying an Aperture and who knows what all else from them.

I think Dynoflash actually had a dyno chart of the WORKS throttle body after he first installed it. He said it yielded 8whp and better throttle response.

YMMV of course, depending on prior mods, yes?
