Just FYI for the poster.. I have a thermal coated dp (sorry not the Works one!) but anyways after a hot run I can literally almost touch the downpipe because its so cool.

Got it done at Performance Coatings in Auburn, WA which is pretty local to me. I think they have a web site too...

Yeah, ill prolly find someone local near me to have them coat it! After that coment Jamie made a few threds back Im kinda worried that over time it could effect my ACD. Whish they would have really push the coating a bit more when i bought it . In fact if there truely is a chance of damage to the ACD then I think they should only sell it coated for the 05's. Anyways my DP is fantastic, it clears everything perfectly and was way noticeable on the butt dyno! I had the car tuned with only a catback, once i threw in my dp it was a huge improvment!

PS. To all of you who are still interested in this group buy PM me and I will orginize this to make it happen. I think we only need 5 but the more the better the price.

Yea that looks like a very nice piece! Good pics and good job Works!

I wish I would have taken some better pics of my coated Blitz unit, I only snagged some with my camera phone.

Kind of off topic, the coated downpipe got me thinking about other parts to get coated, lol!!!

I made a post a while ago because I was thinking about coating my test pipe. The majority of the people though it would just heat up the rest of the catback. If you were to coat everything up to the canister, you would most likely end up melting your bumper because it would be the hottest part of the exhaust. I think you'd have to do the whole thing but that would be a waste of $. Other than that I was thinking about coating the intercooler piping or something though, that might have an effect.

I belive coating the DP will allow the gases to pass thru much faster, as the hotter it is inside the tube the faster the gases flow. The other reason would be to keep the heat away from the ACD on all 05's

So far I have one PM we need 4 more guys!!! This DP is amazing you cant go wrong with this peice. It has a factory like fit, witch means you wont need to bend tweak or any of that nonsence you would have to do with some of the other 3" pipes. Not to mention you have the option of having it powder coated. This pipe is a true 3" from front to back....

STILL TAKING PM's for this GROUP BUY WE Need 4 more names. The longer we wait the more chance of loosing out on this GB.
