Works Turboback = QUIET!!!

WOW, been searching for a very quiet turboback exhaust and finally settled on the works turboback with high flow cat and stealthworks. Went to the shop got it installed and DAMNNN this thing is SUPER QUIETTTTTTTTTTT .
Quietest turboback with high flow cat I have ever heard.
Excellent customer service too! Looking forward for the flash on monday!!!

I've run the WORKS DP, IP, and ABM with both their high flow cat and resonated test pipe. Both are very quiet, particularly at idle and low RPMs. Once you get into it, they are definitely louder and deeper than stock-especially with the RTP. While it sounds more aggressive than stock, it doesn't drone badly on the highway and sounds much more understated than most of the other TBEs I have heard at the track.
Very important to me, as this is my daily driver and track car.

Close to stock when idling. Not loud but definitely louder when you get on it, but sounds nice. That's with DP, HFC, IP, Stealthworks.

i've been thinking about the stealthworks muffler conversion, but not sure if it's worth the effort and money with the stock midpipe....and the works midpipe is pricey; might as well get an aftermarket catback except for stock looks

Cat acts like a muffler.

According to the norcalevo tests, 5 decibels louder than stock. Which is the equivalent to a very quiet cat-back. The test pipe is probably the biggest factor.

Obviously, there are some type of restictions to quiet the exhaust. Are there any performance losses, compared to some of the more popular TBE choices. Any sound clips also? Thanks.

There are a few sound clips floating around within the WORKS forum. As far as restrictions, there really aren't any. The piping is 76mm (or 70mm depending on selection) and is all mandrel bent so that there are no kinks, etc... We do not neck down at the flanges like some others. The relative quietness of the Exhale system is gained through the usage of strategically placed and specifically sized resonators. If you want something a little louder, we do offer the AB (no muffler), 70mm IP (no resonator) and/or the RTP (resonated, but not quite the sound-suppressor as the HFC).
