Has anyone tried running Works brain flash P2 (or P1) with an open-element air filter? I have an HKS intake and will be getting my P2 flash this Saturday from Works. Anything I have to concern of?

I think supercharged gtz had the P1 with various mods including a cone filter intake. Might do a search on his name and I think he mentions his mods in a few of his threads.

 

There's was that big thread a while back about why Vishnu never used anything but the stock system. I'd read through that. I'm always skeptical about intake systems anyway. My train of thought is that rarely do they ever do more harm than good. MOre bling than performance. My .01

 

I have a cone filter, 3" turbo back, and p1 flash. works fine

 

I have the HKS racing suction kit and turbo back on P1 the ECU makes adjustments for those types of modes just make sure you unplug the battery for 30min to reset the ECU, but since your getting it back any day just make sure those modes are in place before hand.

 

I have a bruschur racing cone filter with my P1. It works great, not sure if the cone filter improved performance at all, but it does sound very cool!

I will be installing the P2, Aperture and Exhale in a little over a week. I will post full reviews.

The P1 was amazing when I installed it on my car so I am very anxious to try the new stuff!

 

How's your air/fuel ratio and how much does the boost spike to? I"m planning just to do a 3" turboback and a reflash.

 

So, do you mean I should reset the ECU once it got flashed, or before?
I'll drive to Works this saturday, and they will do the reflash for my car.

 

P1 with all the mods below and I love it! Upgrading to P2 ASAP.

Mods: 18's SSR with 255/45 S03's, WORKS P1, WORKS Throttle Body, K&N, Pulleys, Eibock Springs, HKS DP and Greddy 3in with cat delete pipe.

 

too many flashes out there but works stuff seems more quality than others so many choices
