I'm very sorry I haven't had a free second to dig through the thousands of dyno graphs for the Stealthworks. Actually I need to find a couple of more pressing dyno charts but with 6 track days within a month and SEMA, things are very very crazy.
I can assure you that products we develop and cannot measure any considerable gains outside the tolerance of the dyno never make it past the Engineering Department.
As devoted EVO owners, we only sell what we drive and we're only willing to drive what WORKS.

When I was at WORKS' shop last week, I thought I saw the stealth muffler on the WORKS rally car. It did look stock from behind when up on the rack. I was expecting to see the exhale muffler delete on the car though... if it is good enough and works for the WORKS rally car than I would expect it to have some gains over the stock muffler! BTW, good meeting and doing business with you guys at WORKS. The WORKS mods made the drive from San Fran back to WA state a whole lot faster!

is there any way you could show me on the welding in side , Im a certified welder and this is a fun little project that could be done in a couple of hours . If you did just remove that flapper what do you think would happen .

Dude, you don't ask a business for proprietary information so you can do it yourself instead of paying them. If you look at the muffler it's pretty simple to see where you might weld in a short mandrel bend to make it a little more efficient.

I've been looking into the Stealthworks muffler as an exhaust upgrade but had a question about the core exchange. How strict are you on the return as far as mileage? I'm just over 11,000 miles on my current muffler with no dents and is in good shape. Thanks,

Russ J.

I just removed my flapper and it made the car alot nicer to drive. Smoother changing gears I assume due to no 'open' 'close' of the stupid flapper causing the motor to abpruptly load/unload with backpressure. The flapper door is stiff and requires alot of whoosh to open up! Talking to Works today they showed me the Stealthworks display cut open and the flapper which does have an optimal 'door' position that flows better than just being removed totally. My virgin stock RS is more urgent now in the midrange & smoother between gears(fact) so id recommend the muffler. It is a pain to get rid of the door and spring on your own anyway. 9 user freindly hp for $200 is a good value no matter how you break it down with any car. Its boomier at idle btw

i know i am going to get flamed for this, but here it goes.

they actually weld the flapper open on a certain angle that directs the flow directly into the middle pipe, nothing special if you know how to weld, if you dont know how to weld, they actually do a very clean job.

i have the works 3" tbe with the stock muffler on, which i did the muffler mod my self, my freind knows how to weld very good and i couldnt constitute a 200 charge for it.

sorry if i am wrong but if im right this is what this forum is for, information.

I also wondered about this. Why do they have a pic of the stock muffler cut open, so that you can see the inside and not the "stealthWORKS"? They just have that blue line showing you where the exhaust is "going".

kinda makes you think twice, I know I did.

The large cutout is just a display unit we have at the shop. The actual StealthWORKS has a much smaller portion cut and rewelded in order to give us access to the internal flapper assembly.
