We take pride in our very careful attention to detail to maintain our "OEM or better" motto.

We drew the Flanges and custom WORKS gaskets in 3D CAD (down to +/-.001"), we designed a perfectly fitting resonator with a special Expansion Joint for long-term durability, and built a custom jig with the stock cat for perfect fitment every time.

We even spec'ed out 12mm hardware with smaller heads (17mm vs. 19mm) so you can get a box wrench or socket all the way on it with the true 76mm OD pipe and the tight center-to-center bolt holes. Therefore we don't have to "neck down" our pipes at the flanges and can maintain 76mm all the way.

Hope this helps.

OK, so I received my RTP today and it's on the car. Nice sound at full boost! Spool if definetly quicker! All around I am just as excited about this part as all of the other works parts I have installed. Used the plug spacer you guys recommended from HELP and worked out fine, no code as of yet. Though I did have to drill out the pacer to accomodate the O2 sensor length, no big deal.

Thanks for the quick turn around on making this part available.

...I had to make a run across town to the alignment shop middle of the week and got the SESL after about ten to fifteen minutes of stop and go traffic, added the non-foul spacer and no light problem now.

So its not if you 'll get a light, its a just a matter of when.

Although the non-foul adapters turned out the SESL the end of the o2 sensor is rubbing on the lower inside edge of the tunnel, over a short period of time this will undoubtedly damage the wires or the sensor. You may get away with this work around on a stock I.P. but watch for adequate clearance on anything aftermarket.

OK, so drove the car last weeked to the show and there were no problems. I can see how the clearances would be an issue with a larger pipe. I will prbably use an O2 sim when I add the pipe.

Looks like we’ll be going with the o2 sim on our Evo for now. Gave the RTP the CHP test on the way to the race Sunday. I was cursing along at about 72 mph in 5th when this CHP comes onto the freeway. I had to move to the number one lane so he could enter the slow lane.

He cruised along (on my right side) for a few miles, I’m luggin’ it at 65 to keep the pipe quiet, numbers and decals all over the car! So I finally look over at him, he just waves and continues on. You need to watch the noise in town; the RTP has a bit of a back-rap to it when you shift.

Another option I’m looking into is the new WORKS high flow cat. We may run the HFC between events for practice and testing, and run the RTP only on race weekends.

WORKS - any SESL with the HFC?

Rick,
After thousands of miles of testing, WORKS has not seen the SES being triggered by any of the test units What we have seen are steeper acceleration curves and quicker spool on our logs when compared back-to-back with the OEM unit. The HFC should be in stock very soon. Stay tuned!

Thanks Jamie, I think I'll go with the HFC versus the O2 sim, the light dosen't bother us (with the RTP) since we know whats turnin' it on. I notice the same thing with the RTP, quicker pick-up as soon as you hit the gas and no hesitation in the spool up. Works perfect on the autox course.

I'll tell you something else, WFO in a small foothill valley at about 8:30 in the A.M. on a cool morning, the RTP sounds fantastic.
