Can a bad ignition switch cause no start with strong cranking?
After having random problems with my car starting and then not starting without touching a thing, I was wondering if a bad ignition switch could be the cause.
I've replaced ECU, cam & crank sensors, jumped several wires and still haven't found what's causing this. Engine cranks over strong, has fuel at the rail but doesn't fire the injectors or plugs. Crank and cam sensors get a signal while cranking and ECU has power and ground.
I've read a lot about cars with bad ignitions not cranking at all but if it can cause my symptoms, I'll get one ordered.

The crank no start section of the Factory Service Manual is lengthy, there are some specific wires they advise checking. So, rather than trying to give a 'Cliff Notes' version I'd suggest you download the manual.
Also, you might try testing any fuses that power the fuel injection or ignition. I once had a fan quit working on my DSM and the fuse looked fine. When I pulled it and tested it with an ohm meter it would test good one time and bad the next.
