Voltex Wide Rear Fenders: Anyone Get Away Without Cutting Fender?

I cut mine open, and with a combo of seam dealer and an automotibe spray foam insulation I waterproofed hot. After I pinched it back together and welded the skin to the inner wheel well.
The panels were attached by getting to the bare metal where it would affect, using panel bond, then screwing them to the car to set. After dry I removed screws and filled the holes. Everything is now one piece in the rear. Quarters and rear bumper. That's the only bummer about the Voltex kit.
Not for the faint of heart.
