Thanks, havn't installed the "new" head in yet but I did get the old one out today .

While the head is out I found it easy to get to the rear transmission torque mount (roll stopper, what ever you want to call it) so I went ahead and set back the installation a day or two to let the 60A Urethane kit I bought to set fully.

In order to do this I had to put the engine mount bracket and engine mount back in (the one located on the passenger side of the vehicle)

Followed the instructions from their website and it was really easy to do.

I purchased it from energy suspensions ebay store

How did you remove the cross member without supporting everything?

I think you are talking about the center member? I got the names confused too

Anyways I never removed the cross member I removed the center member and left the engine supported by the mounts on the driver and passenger sides. Held up fine.

Also... before I bought the turbo kit I had already ordered myself a Contour Roam with moto mount kit from Amazon for $199 shipped.

Just got here today!

Starting to collect more parts for the turbo build. I looked through a few threads and am just trying to confirm that the Walbro 255lph I would need is a GSS342.

Like this:

Answering my question:

Installed some slotted/drilled rotors (Hart rotors from ebay, which are just Centric brakes someone drills and slots and anodizes, lol) and Hawk HPS brake pads.. also painted my brake calipers white today. I think it looks great

Also did manual transmission fluid again, after about 20-25k miles with 75w-90 Mobil 1 Synthetic.

Here is a clip driving on the highway after leaving class, someone almost merges into my lane and hits my baby :x

and it is a Roam (original). Works great so far, battery life is about 3 hours but you can get a charging kit that plugs into the car so you can charge while you record.

Nah never even thought of getting one, however I do like the look on some cars, I just don't really have anything I would use it for lol.

On another note I am super exited to get my turbo build rolling. I am still learning about turbos and have not fully grasped/learned everything there is to know about the build.

Once I get the turbo kit and sort out what I have and what I am going to use/not use. I will make a list of what I have and what I still need ... don't want to create a build thread just yet cause I have not determined how long it will take me to save up the $$ (and courage) for everything I need.

My plan is to save up a grand or two and find another lancer (hopefully a mechanics special for cheap) and fix it up so I can DD it while I turbo the lancer and if the turbo lancer breaks (lord knows it probably will) I will have a spare car. I figure it will take a few days to a week or more to complete the turbo build because It is my first time and I will be probably doing it by myself. That being said I was also considering buying a lancer engine on the side and building it, to install in my OZ with the turbo, but that is still way up in the air if you know what I mean. Installing a whole new engine (and probably a rebuilt tranny) would more than likely also lengthen the build time lol.

Thoughts?
