Yeah, don't worry about that dent. When you swap that oil pan replace that with the one you have now. It's easy to swap, just use a light coat of that grey rtv that you're going to have to buy.

Got around to making a couple small videos with clips from me driving...

Testing out the camera at night... when there is no other source of light besides my headlights it is very dark looking out lol.

Here are a couple of clips of me taking some sharp fast corners pushing the lancer to its limits as the tires squeal for mercy

No I don't have a rear one because I have an audio system in the way .

Just replaced my crankshaft position sensor because I was throwing a code for it for a while and my car has been running like a piece of poo. Didn't fix it

Any time I try and accelerate it goes, then loses power, then goes, then loses power, all within seconds so you pretty much just feel the power is almost pulsating from high to low. Not throwing any other codes (misfire, etc.) so I am stumped, I think I may have somehow of messed up my crankshaft?. When I put the crank pulley back on when I did the timing belt/head replacement I never used an impact wrench to tighten it and it was a bit wobbly for a week or two before I realized it and tightened it up all the way with the help of a friend at Tire Kingdom.

Thinking its time for a whole new engine but I am just going to wait til she blows/dies a sad death and then rebuild. This is going to put off my turbo project for some time .

I did however find out, If anyone else already knew this feel free to slap me, that you can replace the crankshaft position sensor without removing the power steering pump or the engine mount/bracket. It is a tight squeeze but it is totally possible . If the video I tried to make came out alright I might post it up here later

So when she blows, are you just rebuilding it or putting in something a little bigger?????

I think I will just stick with the 4g94 platform unless I can somehow convince myself I can do a 4g64 swap successfully

Took the car to a local mechanic yesterday because I just can't figure out what's going on and he said it could be the fuel pump/filter so I changed the fuel pump strainer and still no fix.

Should I replace the fuel pump? and if so can I just go ahead and upgrade to a walbro 255? and would I be able to just drop it in and go or would I need to tune for the new fuel pump? thanks

I can get a walbro online for like $75 brand new but they want $150 for a new OEM (Denso) one at the parts store, they want $250 for the bosch

I would just rep it with a OEM rather then upgrading it. Only because you really don't need to upgrade it, i mean, if you have the cash, go ahead but there really isn't a need for one with your current set up. and yes, a minor tune up would be required if you increased your fuel pump.

You but just remember I am building this puppy to turbo so If I can do anything ahead of time I might as well .

But I talked to another mechanic today and he said it could be the timing belt jumped a tooth (I don't know why I didn't think of this before). *Remember I just did my timing belt about 2 months ago*. He also said it could be a stuck lifter because of the chatter that my engine has been making lately.

I am going to take off the timing covers again and see if the timing marks are lined up. If they are lined up then I guess I will have to take the car to a shop because I have no clue what to look for when it comes to cylinder head internals.
