Got the transmission out yesterday with the help of a friend:

 

New Exedy clutch installed, just gotta get the trans mounted now.

 

what exedy is that?

is it enough for your turbo set up ? just wondering

 

No its not, its OE spec, but I still got some time before I will be able to turbo.

 

thats cool man. im also gonna do it gently so i wont break my bank or my wallet ! lol ! hopefully next year.

 

Going to post some update pics of the plastidip after it has been beaten up over the past few months. Car sat in garage and this just got piled up onto it and I slowly started to stop caring about it, lots of leaning against the car, especially with anything jagged will tear the dip if you put a lot of weight into it. Fenders started peeling from hands all over them in the engine bay (after about the 2nd or 3rd tranny drop) and leaning on them. Also has some like fiberglass dust all over it which I am not sure if it will come off or not it has been sitting on the car for about a month lol.

 

Coming along nice man! car looks pretty good. I want to turbo mine as well later on. Not ready for how much of a pain its gonna be though

 

So my baby is off to the body shop to fix a few dents tomorrow and then after that I got to decide what color I am going to re"dip" it ...

Has been running pretty good, got a slight oil leak coming from my head gasket job *sigh* but I guess I will take care of that later down the line when I go turbo and replace the transmission(3rd gear grinds pretty bad).

 

I liked the black but what about a grey or white ?

 

You should just do an absolute crazy color no one would think of trying..

lol grossss... and it's been done before homeboy. Though I don't think I have seen a pink lancer before. I have thought of everything from, white, black again, yellow, purple, green, and orange...

 

Purple would b different. The matte purple? Or woild u gloss it up?
