Little show and no shine... yet.
I did a full dip just under a year ago but I have had to patch and fix it in a couple of spots already, I have had troubled getting the spray cans to keep a smooth texture when patching... I also feel like people don't even know my car is dipped, most people see the matte black and assume I used a primer or bed liner of some sort
Although if I went with something crazy like a mixed color or satin finish it would be more difficult to patch because it would be an issue trying to "blend" it all together.
Just a heads up if you plan on dipping a whole car and want it to last as long as possible go with an extra gallon to make the dip even thicker (which will in turn make it stronger and last longer before getting torn or ripped) I think some of my spots are just too thin and caused me to have to repair

A rattle can works just fine for rims and other 'non-large flat surfaced areas'
but if you want to spray it with the gallons it might come out smoother and less textured, but costs considerably more when you compare square footage of can to gallon to $$.
You really just want to get the right method down, not too far away or it will be too textured, and not too heavy of a coat or it will texture and bubble and look horrible. <---(REMEMBER THIS!)
On another note I took the headliner out of my car tonight because I recently sprung a leak in the lancer
... now to find where it is coming from!

Was so tired last night I never finished uploading pics, well here they are:

To remove the dome light you pop out the clear lens and that gives you access to the two phillips head screws holding it in place. However there is a dome light "wiring harness" that runs through the headliner (and is actually taped to the headliner in some places). This dome light wiring harness is clipped in with some 4 prong heavy duty thing that me and my friend couldn't get out so I opted to cut the wire and I will just extend and attach male and female blade terminals to them (pics of that later.)

So I get the whole headliner completely loose and then it hits me, how the F am I going to get this thing out of the car?! lol turns out it is pretty flexible and we managed to squeeze it out one of the back doors using the best angle possible.

I got a surprise for everyone here, just bought my sisters RSX with 170k miles, heavy front end damage (no front bumper and hood is all bent up) bad suspension, bald tires, radio is broken, driver side window is broken, so much stuff is wrong with this car. Don't get excited til you see pics of the front end damage
Going to attempt and make this RSX my DD while I work on the lancer.

You don't have to take the liner off to change the antenna
