Little show and no shine... yet.
Doesn't look too bad from the back haha

Ouch...

Bent frame... :yikes:

My jack also died yesterday so I bought myself a new one from harbor freight on sale for only $85 (normally $140). This thing is pretty low profile it fits under the RSX no problem.

Well I havn't managed to get anything done to the lancer lately but I have been working on the RSX in my spare time!

Also got some used tires for the RSX cause the ones on there are bald...

'Custom' weatherstripping work for the passenger door window:
In this pic I used some stick on weatherstripping (from Lowes I think) to attach to the window itself, this way when the window comes up all the way it seals against the other strip.

I sourced some weatherstripping from under the hood and made a better use for it

All finished

I got it from ebay about 2 years ago.. I tried to find another one for you but I didn't have any luck, I know it came from like china or something and was about ~$165.
RRM has this one for sale that looks pretty much the same, if not better than, mine. http://roadracemotorsports.com/store...roducts_id=195

Just finished doing the interior black(sticking with the black on black on black look), everything is black except for the seat belt "mechanism"... need to get pictures with a better quality camera

Thanks man I do what I can
Thanks, I hope everyone else likes it, the pictures do no justice it looks fabulous when sitting inside
.. I need to find someone with a better camera than a cell phone
On another note, I swapped my registration over from the lancer to the RSX so now I'm DDing the RSX and the lancer will be in the garage for the next month or two getting a bunch of work done that I have been wanting to get around to.
To do list:
- Turbo mock up with the parts I have from a fellow member here
- Swap all the lifters with new ones and replace valve cover gasket as well
- Remove transmission for rebuild (hope I am up to this task)
... get transmission rebuilt and a new clutch
- Reinstall transmission and new clutch, also installing new seals and a new ISB (Input shaft bearing) ANYTHING ELSE THAT SHOULD BE DONE WHILE IM AT IT?
- Replace both front control arms
- Replace steering rack with evo one
- Replace brake hoses, and flush the brake system with new fluid
If anyone has any pro tips from experience with the 5 speed transmission feel free to throw them at me!

Need to find myself a good clutch, I currently have a ACT "street" clutch that handled my daily abuse for about 60,000 miles. Looking to possibly get another ACT clutch but I am wondering if I should get something different because of the turbo build I am working on. Anyone have any experience with clutches and have a recommendation?
Maybe something like this ACT 6 puck? ACT MB8-HDG6

Well since all the hype started I realized that I have never done a clutch or removed the transmission before
lol. So I decided just to get a Exedy clutch kit from ebay for the low low cost of only $185. I figure that once I remove and reinstall the trans successfully then I will be confident and ready to put in a better clutch and rebuilt trans!
some pics of the progress...

spindle and control arm out on passenger side.. also got new bearings for both front spindles since they were already off the car

somehow crossthreaded the huge a$s control arm bolt that goes into the frame (got a new one from stealership for $10) got to get a M14 x 1.5 thread tap to clean up the threads in the frame

driver side:

removed the header, downpipe, radiator, fan assembly, battery, intake to do my "turbo" mock up. slid the turbo with manifold on to the car with little problem, next I added the o2 housing and it didn't fit because the external dump on the o2 housing was touching the A/C hardline.

Ok I have a few questions for all the turbo lancer members out there.
I took some pictures of the AC line that is hitting the o2 housing dump. also took a pic of where the turbo "sits" infront of the motor mount, seems too close to me. Keep in mind I will be getting a new manifold from beautifulpunk in the coming months to replace the piece of crap I have now
Here is the o2 housing I have, is it hitting just because of the external dump?

A few different angles of the hardline that the o2 housing is hitting:

Here is where the turbo sits too close to the motor mount bracket:

Now I guess my question is if I get a new manifold from beautifulpunk will it fix all these problems? or will I always have that problem with the o2 dump because it is external and will the turbo always be that close to the mount bracket? (as in will I have to grind down the bracket assembly to fit the intake pipe onto the turbo?)
