So I got something for u guys and I was wondering if u could help me with my issue. I drove to work today about 15 miles, in a down pour of snow. Had no issues with driving besides the idiots that can't drive in the snow. I get to work park my car. I work at a gas station. I pull out of my spot to get gas after cleaning off my car, pull the e brake a couple times and park back in my spot. The time comes for closing, I pull my car closer to the door and keave it running so it'll warm up, I go outside 5 minutes later car wasn't on. I start it back up, thinking someone I knew came up and just turned it off. I start the car and it goes from 1k rpms to 500 and then dies. It just kept doing that. And when I touched the throttle it comepltely dies again. All electronics work the whole time. I was like well imma try one thing before I give up, so I put my stock air intake back on, in place of the k&n typhoon sri I had on. Car immediately starts up and runs perfectly fine... what do u think caused the car not to run with the sri installed? Im absolutely baffled to what the hell it was...
Any help will be fantastic, thank u guys

Something to do with ur MAF try to clean it.... It effecting ur A/F ratio ur not getting the fuel u need

Huh. I figured it was the maf. But I don't understand why when I switched to the stock intake it worked. But it didn't on the sri. Maybe the filter??

I now have another issue. I tried to put the sri on and take a drive. seemed like it was perfectly fine and then I hit around 3500-4000 rpms and the throttle drops and rpms drop to about 1000 or possibly more rpms.

You disconnect your negative terminal? The ecu is probably all sorts of confused.

Yeah it's installed properly and the filter is clean. The terminal thing I didn't do. That makes sense

So I tried that whole unhook the negative terminal thing... It sorta worked it would cut out at 4500 rpms. Still have no idea what could b happening. ..

yeah i would say reset your ECU as well... i think it might do the trick.... i think it's a fuel issue.. if it's cutting out... is your MAF broken or wire clipped or anything

I haven't fixed the issue. I just threw the stock air intake back on until I can figure out what's happening with the sri.

How would I go about resetting the ecu? And the maf looks fine amd the wires are good. Just when I run the car with the sri I get to a certain rpm the throttle drops and rpms drop.
