My 02 OZ Rally lancer. Needs lots more work.
That hose goin to the intake pipe, push it on as far as it will go. Maybe even throw a small clamp or ziptie on each end. You don't want it leaking there. The wires and plug for the MAF, are they pulled tight? Cut the plastic if you need to around the main wires to get more slack. Maybe go under the MAF if it's shorter distance. Make sure gasket is good and tight on the MAF. My guess is either you're leaking around a coupler or your MAF. Or your wires are loose in the connector. Or even the MAF is ready to
**** the bed. Take some starting fluid, and spray it around the couplers and the hose for the valve cover. If you're leaking air, it would be between MAF and throttle body

I will tomorrow im at work now. Could it even possibly b the filter? That's the only thing the two don't have in common. But now when I first start my car, the rpms go to about 500 rpms possibly lower amd try to kill the engine but if I rev it a couple times the car runs perfectly fine
I'm not positive on the engine light because I have a light on because of my second o2 sensor has cut wires because I couldn't get the o2 sensor off when I was doimg my exhaust
Yeah try it tomorrow and make sure you have no leaks and your plug is snapped in all the way. And wires have a little room to breathe. If you're getting air in that isn't before the MAF then you won't be getting enough fuel
I crimp connectored them back together, but I think after a real spirited drive in some deep snow yanked one loose. I haven't been able to get up under the car since then because the car sits low and I haven't had a chance to have a jack because I don't own one yet...
