Wait so if I put in headers it won't replace my stock cat right beneath the headers cause on my 02 it looks like it will

There are 2 cats. One in the Exhaust manifold and then one actually under the car. The headers eliminate the first cat or "pre-cat" as most people refer to it.

So if I replace the headers it will get rid of that pre cat right or no ? And I will still pass emissions ?

U will get rid of the pre cat yes. And u will still pass emissions because u wont throw any codes and will still have a cat.
That pre cat costs 500$ new so when my went out I just opted for headers

You will have to get a CEL eliminator for the downstream o2 sensor because the voltage will increase since you don't have your precat. The downstream o2 goes in the inlet of the cat, so it doesn't even check anything after the 2nd cat. So there is a good chance of throwing a P0420 code. But you will pass emissions as long as you can keep the CEL off. I'm turbo and don't have any cats on my car and I'm still passing PA emissions. Visually they could fail me for standard inspection since you can clearly see I don't have one. But they never do haha

I actually personally don't have a cel eliminator. And am not throwing any codes. But to b on the safe side u should do that. But I am personally not running one and not getting any codes at all so maybe I just got lucky...

So I've been contemplating on gettkng a brush guard(light bar or bull guard, whatever u wanna call it, but I'm having terriblr difficulty finding any for our lancers. I can only find evo ones. Would anyone happen to know where I could find one or even give me an idea on how to make it and mount it because I have friends in the machine tool places and welding, I would just have to have an idea and basic designs to b able to do it because I wanna go for the more rally style look. And I don't like the lights just sitting in the bottom opening of my bumper too much anymore. Any help would b appreciated. Thank u in advanced

I didn't throw one for about the first 4 months I had one. Then it came and wouldn't go away. RRM CEL eliminator didn't work. I had to use 2 antifoulers haha

Your check engine light will kick on. You'll just have to have someone to check it and tell u what it is.
