Just this part was my first initial worry: "Turn it CLOCKWISE by hand until the timing mark on the pulley lines up with the "T" on the timing cover. (Hope you guys with Joe's pulley put some kind of mark on yours before installing it, like I did)".

But since u said to go by the cam gear i will do that instead. Thanks again, i will keep it updated on how things go.
the crank has to be aligned too, like I said if your aftermarket pulley does not have a timing mark, you'll still need to visually verify TDC...pretty easy to tell, with a flashlight...

The motor in an ES doesn't need valve lash adjustment, it has hydraulic lash adjusters that do it for you. Their oil holes can get clogged over time, making them louder. What kind of oil are you using in your car?

Hydraulic valve adjusters still need to be adjusted periodically. It is just a completely different process. Just ask anyone with a Chevy 350 engine.
