in this case the mr76 just use the flat connectors to pluge right into the relay tabs.

his setup is the way the relay comes with the tabs assebly there.

yes as you see in my pics of my ecu after that , its all good just be carful i was being stuborn and not DISCONNECTTHE NEG CABLE.

just make sure the {/b wire doesnt get any power back into it. u use the wire only to trip the relay to activate the light.

what year is your car? there was a reflash related to mivec engagement(not my research, it's what I remember someone else saying)

its an 06 and its canadian, do you think the relay is taking away some power of the signal or something?

no, the reflash raised your mivec switchover to ~4500. if your's is an '06 it was probably already in production, or was done at the dealer. either way, unless you have connections at mitsu, you'll need an '04 ECU that was not flashed to lower it back to ~3500(from my limited knowledge of the facts the reflash was not put out until '05) sorry man, you got a dud

that is lame would the car be quicker if it did kick in earlier? Im guessing they changed it for some goofy reason such as emissions or fuel economy? when i put it in was getting very frustrated that the light was not turning on at 3500 when i tested it then i accidentally revved passed that and it came on probably wasted an hour figuring out it turned on at 4500 and that i did in fact wire it properly
