look into the mr76 as i stated above or a basic 12v relay is really what it is nothing special.... they might even be in the light section of your autoparts store

 

but that relay stays on no?

 

the relay needs to always have power and then wire for the mivec is the switch to the aux tab on the relay
i believe on the mr76 it has 5 pins

one is to be off when on and the other is to be on when off you will only use 4 pins unless you want to make it like a red light for off and a green light for on so they switch

Ill try to refine this and add the pics with the wires clearly stated for the Mr76/78 relay types i know there is some confusion in the way otter did his and the more common relay that most ppl use or aquire for such needs.

 

yeah bro i would apreciate if u take some piks and make another post with the new instructions cuz some piks are missing in this post and he use a non comun relay thats way all the confusion and some piks of the wires

Hello i recently set up a mivec light in my 2004 lancer RA.. everything went well and i bought a relay online. http://www.safemart.com/Elk-Relay-Mo...il-ELK-912.htm

when i rev the engine to 3500 k the relay click on and the light turns on ... for some odd reason when i got past 4000k the relay makes a high pitch squealing noise.. it turns off once i get under 3500k.. is this normal for a relay?
