The swap has never been done to my knowledge, unless someone in Canada has done it. I'm quite sure it can be done, the question is how hard and for how much money.

well im assuming the engine bays match up so thats the easy part its just fitting the block and transmission

The engine bays don't match. There are a number of small differences. They might not seem like much, but it could be enough to make this a PITA.

If you wanna do a cool swap you should consider doing the V6 eclipse swap along with it's nice 6 speed tranny that will be awesome man

it just seems like the v6 is too massive, and looks like it would require cutting the firewall...
