radiator fan question

I am having a problem with my radiator fan not working on my 04 ralliart . I was told that the transistor box is the problem. When i tried to call to see about getting a new one I was told that I would have to buy the whole fan along with the tranisitor which costs a fortune. Does anyone know where I can get the transistor without having to buy the whole dual fan mechanism. I would appreciate the input . thanks ..mike

Its most likely your fan controller. You can buy it separately from everything else for around 70 bucks.

Geardownson is correct, the fan controllers go left and right on these cars. My RA went through about 4 of them when I had it, in fact the dealership manager knew me and gave me a discount because I bought so many of them... (that and the clutch master cylinders...)

The only thing though is that I've never heard of one going bad to the point it just doesn't work... Try checking the connection maybe?

Yea between the fan controllers and clutch cylinders I was a pro at both burning my hand off on the controllers and getting my hand in/out of the corner of the engine bays.

If you guys want any burnt out fan controllers to toy with or master cylinders let me know, if you pay shipping I'll send one right over if it'll help benefit the community...
