Hats off to you man, this is quite the undertaking.

Does anyone know the part number for "Engine Oil Pressure Switch"?

I need it before I can continue and test it, as it was missing from my engine and I didnt notice until I had a plug spare that wouldnt plug in anywhere.

Today we fully installed the oil temp gauges and a-pillar, extended that grey plug, and started work on the catch can system. Carl is currently fabricating a bracket for them to mount them at the side of the upper tube of the CAI. Were getting there, but its slowing down now as we wait for the final parts.

1). A view of the car from the newly tidied up floor!

2). Clear catch can tubes to gauge their effectiveness - inlet should be dirty, outlet should be clean!

3). Extended Brake Fluid Plug

4). Temp Gauges on A-Pillar

5). Evo gauge cluster.

6). Right hand side of dashboard.

7). New A-Pillar from outside.

8). Engine bay with clear catch can hoses and catch cans in battery tray atm.

Those gauges are Evo gauges with custom faces.

This week we are going to start the engine, probably weds or thurs. This will be done without the engine oil pressure switch - does anyone know if that is a bad idea?

We wont actually drive it - just see if it starts and look at any error codes.

so what is the scangauge box under the gauges for AFR?

don't really know the answer to your ? for sure but i was under the impression that its for the mivec switchover, so letting it idle shouldnt hurt it.

The scangauge box is just a bit of fun for a geek really! It tells you lots of sensor readings and can calculate MPG, how many miles you can drive at your current driving speed, and loads more. I like it because it tells me the temp of the incoming air.

I unplugged the MIVEC sensor switch once, in order to test if it the fuel consumption would be better on a long trip (I did 800Km with it unplugged)... maybe that helps you somehow? I'm not sure if the sensor you are referring to is the same as what I call the MIVEC sensor. The one I unplugged detects oil pressure for MIVEC operation... if the signal is out of range, the MIVEC switch-over is not activated. The engine stays on the lower valve opening profile...

It didn't improve the mileage BTW... ...not in a way that I could percieve anyway.
