I'll call tommorrow again and tell them who to thank. She'll get the Alpine stage 2 instead and just have to be happy with that.

Now as for your de-icer statement thanks for clearing it up finally. Took some time for you to bash me until you finally just answered it.

I emailed boeturbolancer about it... good thing he still answers emails... and he said the same thing you did. He said that the prestone brand is pretty much mass manufactured and consistant and not to buy those no-name brands. He said to listen to RIPP. Since you represent them i'll not deal with this issue at all by not getting their kit now. Thanks for the great customer care.

Oh... boe also mentioned to ask about the pumps used on the systems. He's heard of some companies using stock fuel type pumps. However the seals in those pumps don't agree with meth or alky so they need to be changed out. He said to ask if RIPP does that or has their own pump design. I'll pass that question on as some may like to know. For me i'm done with the SDS thing... not enough of them out there proven anyway.

LOL, so much bad information and lies in that post to address, but I'll try:

a) I don't represent them, just a happy customer. My word is and never was the official RIPP word, I help out when I can. But I know for a fact your lying about getting your GF a RIPP SDS kit, so we can leave it at that. Not sure why you would think I cared anyways

b) As for the pump, its definately not a fuel pump (not too sure what kind of pump it is, but its pretty beefy). Its the same pump all the big companies use on their meth injection kits. In fact, RIPP uses the same boost cooler kit you can find elsewhere for other applications (custom turbo cooling or supercharger cooling). They didn't come up with the pump design at all, but seeing as how that particular pump is used in so many applications, its a non-issue.

c) As for not being enough RIPP kits on the road, surely you jest. RIPP has been around for a lot of years and has supercharged tons of cars. There biggest markets (the tib and 3g) have proved the safety and reliability over and over again. On last check, I think there are 400-500 RIPP'd cars out there all over the world. Hell, RIPP is a certified vortech partner and has been in countless magazines, tv shows, and various other articles. How's that for not being proven?

so you know i wasn't going to get a rip kit?? Yeah right... call up and ask them about Jim. I called in today to place the order however they said that they'd be about 4 weeks to get it to me as they are massive busy. Then i asked about paying with a money order instead of CC in order to maybe get a little bit of savings. Got me a little discount as that's like paying with cash.

I'm done with them now thanks to you and some other guys from the tibby board. Boe told me to check out newtib.com so i did and found out some things i really didn't like. Which really suprised me as i've heard nothing but good things... seen all the mags... and on the phone they were super helpful. You were the icing on the cake though.

Glad i listened to boe about talking to some tibby guys and then posting in here to ask questions. You straight up went off on me... called me a liar... even went as far as making yourself out to be some RIPP expert!

Boy oh boy...

I always seem to come in to read a thread as it heads down hill.

Every company has given bad customer service or had a product fail in some way. It's always up to the consumer whether he or she wants to take that risk. Nobody get's 100% satisfaction. It's amazing to see what a few misplaced words will do in a thread.

just misplaced by this greenphsyco person i guess... he's so full of himself... who is he anyway?

He's not a RIPP rep but speaks like a RIPP expert. After reading a little he didn't install his own kit which i guess he's like the 3rd owner of. He doesn't tune cars or have any aptitude for it that i see. As far as i've searched he's never even cracked a lancer motor open.

For all his ranting about things he seems more like a bookworm with to much time on his hands Hope i don't get banned for calling him that

Anyway, i think i'll take the word of a person who has been there and done that with the lancer, tiburon, srt-4, ralliarts, wrx's, mustangs, etc. At least a guy like Boe was able to impress me with his knowledge. This guy just comes off to booky.

Sorry to get things so off task... i'm just not liking this greenphsyco right now and i'm going to call RIPP up tommorrow and talk about it with them. I mean damn... i want that kit. The Alpine kit sucks compared to it. I just don't want a bookworm's support. I want knowledgeable support from those that have the experience in the cars.

I can be an expert without being a rep can't I? Come on man, use some common sense, alchemist on these boards is an expert, but isnt a rep for any company. What does that have to do with it.

I'm the 2nd owner of the kit and no I didn't install it for the same reason ralliart33 didn't install his: RIPP used my car to overhaul the 4g94 lineup, which means they had to fabricate a few parts for me, use my car to figure out the new fuel setup and tune mine from scratch. I donated my car to be prototyped just like ralliart33 is doing right now, so no, of course I didn't install it.

Everythign else is OT and will be cleaned up by the mods soon. If you can't stay on topic or post without bashing me or RIPP, please remove yourself from this thread. Thanks

:edit: Wasn't going to post anymore but then this guy just didn't stop... sorry guys but i don't lay down when people call me a liar!

i'm sorry... i apologise and will no longer post here. It's done.

All this has nothing to do with the RALLIART SDS. That being said we've established:

1) You must use the prestone de-icer.
2) The pump RIPP uses is one used by many Methenal injection system users and not built or designed by RIPP. Still been proven by others for a long time.
3) Greenphsyco IS NOT a representative for RIPP MODS. (i'm actually glad about this one)
4) The RIPP kit uses a suplemental injection system like other major vendors and has been proven to work effectively for proper fuel atomization.

Think that's it... now we're back on topic.

When you talk like you did you sound like a REP. This was going the wrong way so i'm glad you cleared that misunderstanding up.

I'm the 2nd owner of the kit From what i've read you're the third owner?

I donated my car to be prototyped just like ralliart33 is doing right now, so no, of course I didn't install it.

I read all this... but it was funny a done kit needed so much rework. Then again they've only really been doing lancers for about 6 months now that i can see.

Everythign else is OT and will be cleaned up by the mods soon. I hope not as you were instigating it to go OT. Calling me a liar and accusing me of misleading people. I think you're just trying to get me in trouble instead of realizing your being mean to me.

If you can't stay on topic or post without bashing me or RIPP, please remove yourself from this thread. Thanks Thanks for the heads up but understand that you escilated this... i've just been getting pissed at you calling me a liar and accusing me of falsehoods.
Think my bold statements cover what i have to say... however thanks for getting me back off topic again.

that's awesome...

You know i do feel better after that. Guess i was harsh to greenphsyco. Sorry dude... i really thought you were a rep on here and going off on me for nothing. It was even worse when i could see you're knowledge wasn't up to par. I'm a dummy though... should have realized you were just a kit owner talking up the kit.

I really don't talk up stuff much as i don't care to boast like that. Now that we've shared a laugh lets get this sucker back to the topic at hand and let it all go... Cool

No wonder Ripp won't come to these boards.
