could still be his stock injectors. one of them not functioning properly at WOT would cause one cylinder to go lean and that's gonna cause issues. I would imagine the CEL should be lit because of the turbo anyway, have you tried getting the codes pulled to see if there is an unusual one stored? the light doesn't need to be on for the code to be stored, iirc.

thats good too know, i dont have a code reader yet but ill be getting one just for trouble like this. i didnt know that it could be throwin cels w/o the light actually coming on. other than that once i put the cel eliminator that came with the kit on the light went away and never came back.
its a great product even though it would be really easy to make.
im very sure its human error with my lean condition as rrms products are very good , the welding is the only flaw i see. but im a welder/boilermaker so i see alot of high quality welds versus header welds that dont need to be ut's or pmi'd

anyways,,nuff ramblin

not throwing CEL's without the light, just that it may retain the codes after the light goes out. also, you can see what codes are getting ready to come up, which could help you diagnose something intermittent as you are describing. some sensors require error conditions to persist for xx amount of time, and if they don't the light doesn't come on. during this xx amount of time they are stored as pending codes.

so the eliminator worked for you huh? that's good, some people have had no luck with it.

RRM's products are good, but unless they tuned your car it's still just a base tune. also, are you able to log from your wideband sensor?

have you had your car tuned since you put all these parts on there? tuning is your friend when you are throwing a lot of mods in.

everyone is being told that lately. that's like saying don't buy a piggyback because the stock ecu can compensate. it's a stupid comment.

I have to totally agree with you. Everyone should know by now I hunt down those RA who have alot of mods without a tune!

Tunes do wonders, get it tuned, do yourself justice as well as your car.

fuel pump

i think i might have found my problem, the fuel pump was creating problems so i removed it for inspection numerous times, and when reinstalling it would not start, stock one was replaced and started no problem,

It is proably too late to be posting as it looks like you may of solved part of the problem I was also getting a slight bogging this was due to runing lean nothing serious and was easily fixed.

I think part of the problem that we have with the cars is that they have the fly by wire T.B and a non return fuel line hence this is why we need to have bigger injectors fuel rail and possibly fuel pump - the throttle works almost too well it will give us instant air into the car but the fuel system can not keep up with the demands which causes the bogging down on WOT the reason why the car does not produce this effect colder days is because of the air sensor which is also saying that the TPS needs to be slightly more open and pump slightly more fuel like it does when you first start the car up... an automatic choke?

I agree, having the FPR in the tank, while probably cost effective for mitsu, doesn't allow for much to work with in the way of reaction time for your fuel.
