Yes, I'd be willing to pay up to 100 bucks for a quick connect piggy ECU harness.

Oh well, $900 bucks on AEM CAI, Mainline nitrous, and 2 BFG drag radials on 15" steelies...
I guess they'll have to wait if they want my money now.

Well over a month now and not even a "yes" or "no" answer. Either would have been appreciated...just wanted AN answer. Even offered to put down a non-refundable deposit (along with others) to help move it along...didn't happen. So again, after a month, my window of opportunity has moved on too. Autox season is right around the corner and I picked up a set of wheels/tires for that. If someone else want to take this and run with it in a new posting, be my guest...just don't hold your breath.

Does anyone know then name of the distributor for the connectors? I've put out feelers to a couple different "custom wiring" sites online and they're saying they can't find a distributor for the RA connectors. My searches are just turning up the standard 2-high ecu connectors.
Thanks,

AMP makes like 90% of all the connectors.. but good luck in finding the correct part number AND getting a distributor that can sell you a few (<100 pieces)

The ECU for the japanese model probably has different connections, it's a 1.8 L GDI w/Turbo.

I still want a damn harness arghh, I'm out of go fast mods. Don't want downpipe or turbo need something

Try http://www.buschurracing.com. They already make for an EVO... they might do one for the RA. LP is about $140.

Thanks but it's a completly different pin configuration. Look at a EVO pinout and a RA pinout. EVO is 2 high and a RA is 4 high... At least untill we get a peek at the EVO IX pins, then it might change (I hope).

The RRM piggyback comes preset with fuel curves designed for the RA running 91 octane. Not sure if you can tune it. Anyone know?

AMG: I was thinking that since they make a wiring harness for an EVO, they might make one for the RA if there is demand. I assume the EVO harness is a custom job. I'll contact them anyway and post results.

*added* I didn't see that you have an APEXi unit. Is it causing a CEL? I'm researching one for myself.

Fields allready makes a harness for the EVO, and it shares a pin configuration with most of the other Lancers so it was "cost effective" to do so. Untill we find out what the pin configuration is on the EVO IX (and if it matches the RA) there is very little chance they'll make on for us. I've tried to have other custom wiring places price out a harness for us but they're running into problems getting the connectors from japan. Evidently they don't want to sell yet! I don't know if RRM was having the same problem because they won't say anything concrete at all concerning the harness. Look at the poll and you'll realize that there's a market for it but there's something not cost effective about making them. As of right now there's only 2 years of mfg of a very different type of connector so I'm sure it's more expensive for the required connectors and that's IF Mitsu would be willing to sell them.
