Yes, I'd be willing to pay up to 100 bucks for a quick connect piggy ECU harness.

You guys should just sell the harness seperately. I imagine it'd be really useful for people going for stand-alone or eManage/AFC

I'd be willing to spend up to $200 for a harness that was sold seperately (no way can I afford to $700 american in one shot) and made the ECU upgrade completely undetectable/safely removable.

And in terms of low-balling you.. not really if you consider there are quite a few people who are never going to buy an ECU upgrade that is not easy to install & stealth. You could take a small loss on the harness in a forced harness/ECU bundle?

From some initial discussion on the topic, I made this post with a figure that I thought most people, who were seriously interested in paying extra for a harness, would be able to swallow - myself included. Admittedly I had no idea what the actual cost of such a harness would be, other than some fairly scanty info I'd picked up on other boards. So with that in mind I put up the poll based on an extra hundred bucks, and got in contact with Rob to let him know there seemed to be some serious interest in such a product and so, if he could take a look at how much these things would be - and how many people he would need to "sign on" to make it work out.

I still have not heard back from him on the matter of an actual cost, but if it does seem it will be significantly more that $100 ie closer to $200, then it would have to be a no go for me, and possibly others too I'm sure.

So my suggestion would be for RRM to come out with a hard number, and make another posting with that figure and see who wants in. No one, myself included, is expecting RRM to lose money on this, but I think it is time we see an actual figure on what the cost would be IF it is to go ahead? Then let the market decide before anyone is out any money on either side - vendor or buyer.

100 seems reasonable...but depends on how much they want to make profit out of it...cuz rite now they can sell it for bout 150 and lots of us fools hea wud buy it rite away...but again...its gonna cost them too...so idk i think 100 is like the max it shud b...and if they consider making it...im down for it...warranty period is almost over...cant risk blowing out the engine...but ne word on the harness from rob???

I'm in for up to $100 + tax and shipping - any more and I'll just brake out the soldering gun.

I wasn't trying to lowball anybody... You threw $100-$200 out there... I was just giving you input like everybody else...
If $100.00's a lowball figure you could've just said $150.00-$200.00... In all honesty I might still be interested at $150...
I have no doubt RRM will give us a figure at the best they can do... I was just letting you know that at $200.00 installing is not that serious & I'd just do that...

If you take into consideration the how many more ECu's you would sell if you had harness that alone should make up any difference you think you are losing by only selling it for $100. I think you are underestimating you increase in ECU sales. There is a ton of guys that would buy this in a heartbeat if it was simple plug and play.

Like I said, just trying to give you customer input... Maybe you can just figure out an approx. price & then let us know what's up!? It's not like we're trying to gang up on you here... Or at least that's not my intention, just curious as to how much it'd cost!

I know you guys aren't trying to gang up on me here, its just looking at this, and I am wondering if its even worth it. Like, even with the harness would I still sell as many Piggybacks as before when I didn't have the harness?

Look at the numbers in the poll, I will not buy this unless a harness is made.
Every other piggyback(other cars not RA) on the market comes with a harness many of them are already more expensive than the RRM. Plus some have dual maps and ect.... But hey can't have everything right.

That's the point I've been trying to make to you. If you had the harness I believe you would sell more of them. But I'm not a vendor so what I know, or I think I know doesn't really mean much. Like I said, I would have already bought it if it had the harness. Since it doesn't I dont' feel like going though the extra trouble trying to keep my warrenty in tact.
