RRM Downpipe
one of my buddies had his resonator taken out because his 3.75 buck muffler of ebay wasn't loud enough for him
to take it out it was 50 bucks so u could probably guess around there plus the cost of res. i think most shops or around the same price...at least they are where i live

Thought I'd post up here with a quick note. A few days ago, I removed my lovely lightweight RRM downpipe and put the heavy ugly stock downpipe back in, as my car needs to visit the dealership shortly for suspension issues. I miss it already
All that lovely top end power is gone. To be completely honest, I did gain back a bit of low end torque due to the added backpressure of the cat, but losing all that high-end power just isn't worth it.
In summary, temporarily removing my RRM downpipe has reminded me of just how much I gained, thus I felt the need to replug the product.
Finally, I really really wish I had the cash for the piggyback. That's another story.

I like low end power rather than high end, so im keepin my stock downpipe on. Plus I enjoy my nice deep sound, wouldnt trade it for the world.
Get the piggyback..next to my tein coilovers, its my favorite mod. But thats mostly high end power as well. I want pulley kit!!!

We caught your order Adam and fixed it not problem. Just to get back on topic. Interestingly enough people what it all, low end and peak power. Certain mods will work towards one or the other. D.p. does add peak power and not low end. THis is why a piggyback helps more than just the peak numbers it yields. It helps compensate for a mod like d.p. so that end result is a wider, smoother powerband and yes, better peak numbers still! EVO guys understand this a little better than most Lancer guys so I thought it needed to be spelled out! Thanks for good review Otter!

Well I got the DP installed was not fun at all with hand tools.
This thing is nice compared to that stock "thing" they call a downpipe I can now see why I was bogging in the lower RPMS that thing is so kinked it's actually kind of shocking once you see it right next to the RRM DP.
Performance wise my car seems to have a smoother power band. I will probably be putting a HF cat in and probably a better resonator to cut down the noise/farts
It wouldn't be all to bad if it just didn't fart
Noise= Power?

I have my old down pipe for sale on E-bay. Its like new only used for about 4 months than I sold my RA. If anyone wants to bid on it starting price is 150.00 buy it now for 250 thanks... btw I miss my ralliart... dont sell yours You will regret it! 04-06 Lancer Ralliart
i'm leaning toward getting the dp, just wanna know what type of high flow cat to get for the car? i'm guessing most muffler shops will have resonators but cats probably not. are there any sites to order the correct size( and whats the size?). thanks.
